I always was fascinated with the arts and saw the world through a different lens like most creative people do. I was enthralled with story telling and creating a new world through the use of words as well as my love for film and television. To find a stronger connection with these two passions I decided to enroll in the Colorado Film School where I got my associates in writing/producing. I am now looking on to expand my education in digital design were I can use my previous skills from film school and utilized them in a new approach with digital design. I was riveted by how special effects are created in film and television and wanted to learn how to apply those effects in my projects as well. This is how I ended up where I am today study digital design at CU Denver. I am learning a lot of new techniques to expand on my work and UX design is another chapter of my work that I am looking forward to expand upon. It will be a great way to layout the current projects I am working on, in a format that will be easy for the viewer to read and access on there own. I am pretty new to UX design, however I can definitely see the benefits of it and how there is a very large audience for this type of work. All in all I am hoping to learn how to create professional looking websites and applications, with the new techniques that I am going to learn in this class. I am also somewhat interested in the UI realm as well and I hope we get to learn a little bit of that world and see how UI and UX intertwine with one another. Also as an android user I am not as familiar with the iOS mobile software’s, so it will be interesting to create an application in this type of format.
